Bio
Jay Michael Jorgensen was born in Texas in 1963. After growing up in Austin and attaining undergraduate and law degrees at The University of Texas, Mr. Jorgensen migrated to Arizona, currently living in Scottsdale. Not surprisingly, his first two novels are set in Phoenix and Austin, respectively, but his world travel renders a colorful backdrop to his stories.
Never one accused of sitting still for long, Mr. Jorgensen has been an insurance company executive in Texas and Oklahoma, a writer for a newsletter that analyzed the stock market and economy, and a lawyer with a varied practice that included a stint as General Counsel for a health care/biotechnology company. Along the way, he discovered his passion and skill for writing fiction. At the moment he has taken up a private law practice that allows time for his writing, other business interests and hobbies.
"Living and practicing law in Phoenix, as I have for years, allowed me to draw on experience to make this book as realistic and believable as I demand my work to be. Phoenix is a great setting, and I love to write about Arizona and the desert Southwest."

"I grew up in Austin and still spend a lot of time there" says Jorgensen. "It's beautiful, dynamic and has an attitude all its own. Blake Travers, the lead character in Games of Deception, fits right in. There could be no better setting for this story."
